Аннотация:New photoelectric photometry of SS Cyg during quiet states (minimum light) in 1983-1984 confirms the previous finding that partial eclipses are occurring in this binary system at epochs of conjunction. Orbital (6.6 h) UBV light curves are derived. Their shape depends on the phase of the approximately 51-d flare cycle, indicating that the system regularly experiences a stable state 25-15 d prior to a flare, followed by an unstable quiescent preflare state. Certain disparities between the orbital curves during the two phases may be attributable to preflare enlargement of the white dwarf accretion disk.
