Аннотация:Antagonistic reactions between genetically distinct somatic individuals (heterokaryons) of Pleurotus pulmonarius (Fr) Quél., collected from different substrates in natural habitats were investigated. In total, 56 natural isolates of diverse geographic origin were paired on malt agar plates in all possible combinations. As the result, four types of antagonistic response between paired individuals were discriminated: S - a strong antagonistic response, N - a normal antagonistic reaction, W - a weak somatic antagonism, and C - a compatible reaction between genetically identical fungus individuals (somatic clones). In natural P. pulmonarius populations the strong and the moderate somatic antagonistic reactions were shown to prevail: S-type with distribution frequency of 45 %, and N-type with the frequency of 35 %. The rate of weak antagonistic responses was not more than 8 %. This ratio was shown to be kept in separate geographically isolated populations and through the whole collection. Each type of barrage in the interaction zone of mycelia contacts were investigated by electronic microscopy (SEM). Stages of the barrage zone formation were described in detail.
