Аннотация:The solution to the Indo-Hittite hypothesis is directly related to the problem of defining archaisms and innovations in the Hittite and other Indo-European languages. The main argument of the supporters of the Indo-Hittite hypothesis is the assertion that the Perfect was formed in the remaining language groups after the Anatolian branch had separated. In the article, the author discusses all modern views on the problem of the Indo-Hittite hypothesis and, after analyzing the aspectual-temporal forms in
Indo-European languages, concludes that there is no reason to consider the Indo-European Perfect as an innovation. The facts presented in the article show that the Anatolian group separated at the third (Late Indo-European) stage, when Perfect forms with reduplication already existed. Hittite language creates the Second conjugation of the Present system based on the Indo-European Perfect inflection. On the other hand, it is confirmed that the Hittite language, together with the Italo-Celtic and Tocharian languages, used the forms of the Medium in -r, which disproves the Indo-Hittite hypothesis
