Аннотация:Values of the decrease in interfacial tension at maximums in electrocapillary curves for Ca, In-Ga, Cd-Ga, and Tl-Ga electrodes relative to Hg, which are due to a chemisorption interaction between the metals and water, are determined: 1.1, 0.59, 0.65, and 0 mu J cm(-2), respectively. The obtained values are an energy characteristic of hydrophilicity of a metal. This makes it possible to use them in correlation dependences with other energy characteristics of interfaces. It is shown that a different chemisorption interaction of water molecules with Ga, on the one hand, and In, Cd, and Tl, on the other hand, practically cannot affect the surface-layer composition of the above alloys.
