Аннотация:A program is compiled for calculating the hydrogen spectrum formed in a nonequilibrium gas under nonzero boundary conditions. An allowance is made for all the elementary processes of excitation and deactivation of the levels. The limiting case of pure shock excitation and ionization of the gas is discussed in detail. The Lyman and Balmer decrements are calculated for this case, along with the I(L-alpha)/I(H-alpha) ratio, for the following broad range of gas parameter values: electron concentration, 10 to the 7th 10 to the 13th/cu cm; beta(12), 1 - 10 to the -8th; and electron temperature, 10,000 and 20,000 K. Attention is also given to the effect of diffuse L(c) radiation on the degree of ionization of the gas.
