Аннотация:The multilevel problem for the hydrogen atom with nonzero boundary conditions is considered. Using the Sobolev probability method, the state of a nonequilibrium gas illuminatd by a star at a temperature of 5000 K is calculated for the following parameter values: electron temperature, 10,000, 15,000, and 20,000 K; electron concentration, 10 to the 8th - 10 to the 12th/cu cm; dilution factor, 0.1, 0.01, and 0.001; and probability of quantum yield in the line L(alpha):beta(12), 10 to the -3rd - 10 to the -8th. The characteristics determined include the relative intensities of the first three lines of the Balmer series, the intensity of the H-alpha line in the intensity units of the adjacent continuum, and the degree of ionization of the gas.
