Motivation: Earlier we localized HPV16 integration sites in human chromosomes using RH-mapping. Homologies of nucleotide sequences of human genome adjacent to virus integration sites with human genes and/or ESTs were demonstrated. In this work, we analyzed in silico human nucleotide sequences, detected as papilloma virus integration sites. Results: Four hypothetical genes (LOC151128, LOC161154, KIAA1808 and KIAA0887) and gene similar to WASF2, which include HPV16 integration sites, were characterized in silico. Exon-intron structure and the presence of necessary regulator elements in promoter region of these genes were detected. For protein products of genes (KIAA1808, KIAA0887 and protein of gene similar to WASF2) homologies were found and hypothetical functions were determined. [ DOI ]
