Аннотация:The features of the behavior of lengthy vertically distributed receiver systems (VDRS) for their use for the purposes
of the low-frequency tomography of the ocean, which in the most prevalence of embodiment is a structure consisting
of a cable-rope up to several hundred meters with the receiving module placed on its coaxially (hydrophones) or
perpendicularly to the axis (accelerometers), buoy and anchor which support the predetermined spatial position
of the system. The results of experiments performed with VDRS of 32 and 128 m in the White Sea. Underwater
currents forcing on a VDRS results in vibration beginnings on the elements of the system, especially for cable-rope,

transmitted by hydrophones and leading to the formation pseudo sound signal at frequencies below
10–12 Hz, which under certain conditions can significantly exceed the background noise level area. These
facts may significantly reduce the effectiveness of VDRS and limit the frequency range of measurement
from the bottom. The similarity of the results of different experiments, says the existence of a general
mechanism of vibration and occurrence of pseudo sound. The definition of such mechanism may provide
a path to eliminate these undesirable effects and increase the frequency range VDRS in the infrasound
range.
