Аннотация:The paper is devoted to study Italian images’ formation process by US English-language media. The thing is for over half a century, Italian Americans
have suffered stereotyping, misrepresentation as well as falsification by American mass media. Italians’ media images are very important because the way Italian Americans are treated depends how they are perceived in a modern American society. Thus, research subject is Italian Americans’ social stereotypes as well as media impact on these stereotypes’ formation process. Research task is to reveal media role in Italian stereotypes’ formation and spreading process within the American society.
