Аннотация:Abstract—The labial and antennal sensory organs have been investigated in 6 species of water bugs of the fami-lies Corixidae, Naucoridae, Notonectidae, and Nepidae (Heteroptera) by electron microscopy. The labial chemo-sensory apparatus of water bugs is quite similar to that of terrestrial bugs in the number of sensory cells in the sensillum, its ultrastructural organization, and innervation. The chemosensory organs of the labium are repre-sented by basiconic sensilla, innervated by 2–6 receptor cells. The antennal sensilla had undergone the greatest changes in adaptation aquatic habitats. Even though typical olfactory sensilla occur on the antennae of water bugs, the number of antennal chemosensory organs is considerably smaller as compared with terrestrial bugs, and their variety is narrower. The peculiarities of the habitat and mode of life of different species of water bugs had led to significant modifications in several types of their sensilla.
