Аннотация:A new paradigm for designing standards of school education from the angle of the methodology of the cultural historical activity systems approach is presented. Formation of motivation for learning and acquisition of competence, for development of new competencies is revealed as the goal of education. The paper also argues the role of universal learning actions in generating the content of various fields of knowledge.
