THE STUDY OF THE REMOTE EFFECTS OF NEONATAL SODIUM VALPROATE (CONVULEX) INJECTIONS IN GENETIC MODEL OF EPILEPSY- KRUSHINSKY-MOLODKINA RAT STRAINтезисы доклада

Аннотация:The data will be presented on remote effects of daily injections of sodium valproate (convulex) in rat pups of Krushinsky-Molodkina strain 49 males and 58 females). Injections were performed during 5 days, s.c., in nape area, in the dosages 100 mg/kg and 200 mg/kg, starting at the age of 2 or 10 days. Valproic acid (convulex) is the potent anticonvulsant which is in the list of drugs of vital importance. These treatments induced changes in audiogenic epileptiform reaction (AR) and in behavior in the adolescent period (age of 2 months) and in adult animals (4 months). The effects were more evident in female rats (and in AR changes were more evident, than in behavior). The AR duration in control group (after neotatal pain stimulation) was lower than in intact animals, while the convulex injections made this index equal to that of intact group. The changes in the pattern of wild run stage (1 or 2 “waves”) depended on the drug dosage. The locomotion of rats in EPM was low, especially in the intact group, although the neonatal convulex induced changes in the open arm entrances, which were different, depending on dosage, sex and type of treatment.
