[Leaf anatomy in some amaranthaceous] Some new characters which may be used in the taxonomy of the Amaranths family have been revealed by the study of the leaf anatomy in 21 species of 8 genera of Amaranthaceae. The structural distinction between bundle sheath cells of cranz and those of non-cranz leaves has been described. The cranz structure of the leaf has been proposed to be of secondary and independent origin in different amaranthaceous. The absence of correlation between stomata disposition upon the leaf surface and its thickness has been demonstrated. Some additional data in favour of including the genus Pleuropetalum in Amaranthaceae family have been adduced.
