- Аннотация: This article analyses the concept of globalization and two views on the place of Russia in the global economy – the “optimistic” and the “pessimistic”. First, the author describes different threats that globalization may bring to the economy of Russia, such as low economy efficiency, high cost of supporting life. Besides, the author shows the “optimistic” point of view, describing benefits and opportunities that Russia has, such as tremendous scientific-technological potential and a large reservoir of highly skilled personnel. The author concludes by saying that following the path to multi-polar globalization, based on international collaboration, Russia will benefit from the process of globalization.
