Аннотация:A new partition into associations of OB-stars within 3 kpc of the Sun
is derived using Battinelli's modification of the cluster analysis
method. The size distribution of associations has a maximum at 30 pc,
and the average association diameter is 40 pc, which agrees well with
the average size of Giant molecular clouds (GMC). We have found 58
associations, of which only 10% may be considered as random clusters of
field stars. These associations include nearly 30% of high-luminosity
stars from the Blaha and Humphreys (1989) catalog. We calculated radial
velocities and velocity dispersions for the new partition and for the
partitions of Blaha and Humphreys (1989) and Garmany and Stencel (1992). The
mean velocity dispersion for the new list of associations equals to 5.5
km/s. Arguments are given for the hypothesis that associations are
gravitationally unconnected and for the existence of a characteristic
association size.
