Аннотация:Abstract. This paper reports results from a time—frequency analysis of long of various geophysical parameters monitored at the Garm geophysical site. All realization involve quasiregular harmonics in a broad range of periods from a few months to a few years. It is asserted that the oscillatory structure is an inherent property of virtually all geophysical fields. This property is believed to be a manifestation of some regional or global factors common to all fluctuation of the geophysical fields analyzed. Experimental evidence is quoted to support the existence of well-defined phase shifts between the in different parts of the study area which can be interpreted on the assumption of "strain waves” propagating in the Garm crust from southeast to northwest at a speed of about 30 km / yr. The strain waves are believed to transfer elastic energy which is pumped into a hierarchic fractual system of crustal blocks. It is suggested that the theory of open nonequilibrium nonlinear dynamical systems can be instrumental from the understanding of the oscillatory nature of geophysical fields.
