Аннотация:Abstract — The spectral properties of a large number of experimental time series obtained as a result of many years of observations at the Garm research site are studied to reveal the flicker noise component in their structure. The hypotheses providing an alternative interpretation of the spectral character of these realizations are tested, including the white noise behavior and a frequency dependence of the spectral power, stronger than that of the flicker noise spectrum. The choice of the optimal model was additionally constrained by the comparison between the spectra of the experimental series studied and their model realizations. The latter included several models constructed within the framework of the current concepts of the flicker noise. An attempt is made to interpret these models in terms of actual geophysical quantities and assess their applicability to an adequate description of the experimental realizations.
