Аннотация:To rise the activity of cellulase complex. cultivation conditions were optimized for an extremely thermophilic anaerobic bacterium Anaerocellum thermophilum gen. nov., sp. nov., isolated in the Institute of Microbiology, Moscow, from the hot springs of Kamchatka. The decrease of pH during culture growth was shown to produce a negative effect and measures to stabilize pH were elaborated. The capability of the species to assimilate different nitrogen and phosphorus compounds and bioactive additives was studied. Optimal ratio of selected components of growth mediumwas received using the mathematical experiment pranning with fast elevation (?). On optimized medium the extracellular cellulose activity after 140-h cultivation at 75 degree C was raised up to 0,82 IU/mL (using viscometric technique) and up to 0,02 IU/mL (using filter paper), these values being 40-fold higher compared to results achieved on standard Pfennig medium
