The comparative analysis of yeast communities in birch forests of the European part of Russia and Western Siberiaстатья

Аннотация:Features of yeast communities distribution and its taxonomic structure in two birch forests on a podzolic soils in Moscow and Novosibirsk regions have been investigated. Yeast communities in these biogeocoenoses were found to be very similar despite of significant geographical distance. Broadly distributed yeast species Cryptococcus albidus, C. laurentii, C. terricola, Rhodotorula fujisanensis, Sporobolomyces roseus dominated in both variants of birch forests. The character of their distribution on different substrates in both cases was approximately identical. At the same time, some features differed Siberian birch forest from the European ones. They are: less ratio of yeast species typical for boreal litter, high ratio of Cryptococcus diffluens widespread in arid zones. Also another character of yeast distribution on syngenetic series of substrates with maximum on dry epiterranean plant parts (not on green parts as in Moscow region) has been observed. Yeast quantity in soil was significantly higher in European birch forest. All these features of the yeast communities taxonomic structure in Siberian forest should be caused by continental climate of Western Siberia. It showed also some similarity with the steppe and desert biogeocoenoses.
