- Описание: Lectures and discussion focus on current research in marine ecosystems with an emphasis on processes unique to marine systems and current issues of ocean sustainability. Lectures include information about the properties of marine communities and about the processes that affect the abundance and distribution of marine organisms, most important topics in marine ecology, such as larval supply, succession, disturbance, trophic cascades, facilitation and, biodiversity and ecosystem functioning.Examples are drawn from all types of marine habitats, including polar seas, temperate coastal waters, and tropical coral reefs.
