Goatfishes of the family Mullidae respond strongly to human-induced factors such as fisheries, habitat modification, pollution and coastal degradation as reflected by the changes of their distribution, population structure, morphological and physiological parameters (Uiblein, 2007). Unfortunately, ecology of many representatives of the tropical zone remains unknown. The goal of this study is the description of the life history of a widely distributed coral reef-associated species, manybar goatfish Parupeneus multifasciatus.
