Nowadays, Li-ion batteries are widely used in electronic devices such as mobile phones, laptops, EVs etc. Unfortunately, they suffer a number of disadvantages, like insufficient capacity and voltage, high cost and toxicity of components. A key element, that determines properties of the battery is a material used for its cathode, but for the majority of materials their limits have already been reached. Thus, one of the most important problem of modern materials science – searching for new cathode material for a next generation of metal-ion batteries. Morphology has drastic impact on electrochemical properties of cathode materials. By using different synthesis approaches, we can tune morphology. Solvothermal technique is a very attractive, cheap, scalable and environmentally friendly method of synthesis of various types of materials, that is why it has drawn attention of a considerable number of researches all over the world.
