Diamonds from Arkhangelsk and Karpinskaya-1 pipes were studied by optical, Raman and IR-spectroscopy, X-ray tomography methods. Identified the presence, concentration and distribution of structural and non-structural impurities in different crystallographic forms of diamond and their relationship to the color and transparency. Curve-faced dodecahedra and crystals with different shades, with a high degree of transparency dominated. They have a high concentration of hydrogen and nitrogen defects. Diamonds from the studied pipes differ in the form of crystals, in content of crystalline aggregates, in content of colored crystals and content of high-hydrogen crystals. The conditions of formation of diamonds in the studied pipes of the M.V. Lomonosov deposit differ from the conditions of formation of diamonds in kimberlites of Yakutia. Studied diamonds crystallized at lower temperatures.
