Cagelike metallasilsesquioxanes is a fast growing class of metallacomplexes with attractive (supra)molecular architectures and valuable properties [1-2]. Lecture will present novel approaches to Cu-, Mn-, Fe-, Ln-silsesquioxanes and their complexes with auxiliary N,N-, N,O-, O,O-ligands. Noncovalent mechanisms leading to intriguing aggregation of metallasilsesquioxane coordination polymers will be discussed as well.
