For mapping non-spherical celestial bodies, it is advisable to use a triaxial ellipsoid as a mathematical surface. Popular GIS software does not provide the ability to perform calculations on this surface, and developing projections for it is quite complicated. The equal-area cylindrical projection of the triaxial ellipsoid that we previously obtained allows us to calculate the areas of any objects using the created map and compare them with each other.
