The Arctic and Far North regions are categorized as "very cold" climates. Therefore, materials used in machinery operating under these conditions should retain their properties within a temperature range of -60°C to +60°C. Most of the research is devoted to laboratory testing of frost-resistance rubbers. This study demonstrates the importance of climatic field tests in under extreme northern conditions.
