Vortex-induced vibrations of an elastically mounted rigid cylinder in a gas flow near a finite-length plate were numerically studied by numerical simulation in CFD code FlowVision. Different positions of the cylinder relatively to the plate along and across the flow were investigated. It was obtained that if the distance between surfaces of the cylinder and the plate across the flow was smaller than diameter of the cylinder, the flow speed, corresponded to the amplitude peak increased up to 20%.
