The magnetic properties of magnetically soft alloys depend significantly on both the structure and the micromagnetic structure [1,2]. In addition, they are a good indicator of various effects. It should be noted that in most cases magnetically soft alloys are used in alternating magnetic fields, therefore, in order to reduce the effects of eddy currents, products from magnetically soft alloys are made in the form of thin ribbons, films or microwires. In the present work the results of investigations of properties of a number of magnetically soft alloys are presented. Samples of different types were used for measurements, which allows us to generalise the results for different sample characteristics. Magnetostatic properties of the samples were measured on a vibration anisometer and magnetometer, magnetoimpedance properties were measured on an Agilent FieldFox N9923A spectrum analyser in the frequency range of 1-100 MHz. The micromagnetic structure was studied using an Evico magneto-optical magnetics microscope. All measurements were performed at room temperature. The influence of sample geometry and processing methods on their magnetostatic and magnetoimpedance properties is discussed.
