This research analyzes the study of the influence of social media on the family institution in the United States, as well as the demographic consequences of this impact. The relevance of the work lies in the fact that the development and spread of social networks leads to the emergence of new mechanisms of manipulation of public consciousness. Users of social media regularly face a huge uncontrolled flow of information that impacts family values and reproductive behavior. The author found in a survey that in social networks there is a transmission, and sometimes advocacy of anti-family values that affect the family patterns. The article presents the demographic consequences of such influence in the United States.
