For the first time bifacial Laminated Grid solar Cells (LGCell) were fabricated of p-type SZ silicon with WIRE/TCO/(PPN)Si/TCO/WIRE structure. Front/rear conversion efficiencies for the cell with both textured surfaces are 16,4%/14,8%. Noticeable negative impact of the cell edges on the dark I-V curve and all conversion parameters is investigated and analyzed. Eliminating the edge problems, the front/rear efficiency up to 17.5%/16.2% can be achieved. Results of this work for cells of p-Si, combined with previously obtained ones for cells of n-Si confirm the universality of LGCell approach for SC manufacturing.
