Origin of fast streams seems clear, the slow wind sources remain less obvious. Selection of slow SW patterns and its parameters is first and important step for mapping in situ SW data to its solar source region. Such association will help to establish possible sources of the slow SW wind, to explain differences between the observed and modeled parameters of the SW and to improve its prediction in the existing and developing models.
