Analysis on the resource base of hydrocarbon raw materials (natural gas) made it possible to calculate gas recovery alternatives in the leading countries of Western Europe, Middle East, and South-East Asia until 2030 and show the possibilities of the mature and emerging regional gas markets of Eurasia. A discussion on the resource base of hydrocarbon raw materials (natural gas) covers the world natural gas resources; proven reserves of natural gas; natural gas consumption; refineries and natural gas processing plants operating worldwide; projects of pipeline laying to China; and main diversification trends of gas supply to Western and South-Eastern Europe. This is an abstract of a paper presented at the 24th World Gas Conference (Buenos Aires, Argentina 10/5-9/2009).
