Using the method of 3D spectroscopy with a scanning Fabry-Perot interferometer at the SAO RAS 6-m telescope, we studied the motions of ionized gas in 58 nearby dwarf galaxies. The analysis of these data suggests that the ionized gas velocity dispersion is not reflect to virial motions in the gravitational potential of dwarf galaxies (the view earlier dominant in the literature), but is rather determined by the energy injected into the interstellar medium as a result of the ongoing star formation. The relationship star formation rate--velocity dispersion, constructed based on our data and observational results of other authors is universal in a very broad range of parameters (SFR=0.001-300 M_o/yr).
