The presentation is devoted to the new regional study of the dynamics of the Kara Sea based on a comparison of satellite images from the 1960s - 1970s with modern satellite images. Both as a result of these works and as a result of field work on the Western Gydan, it was found that accumulative coasts of the region in some places become erosional due to human impact and climate changes. It is necessary to perform costal monitoring in the Arctic, including accumulative segnemts, and to take into account climate change and human impacts while assessing coastal hazards.
