This report is devoted to such an instrument of regulating international relations as sanctions, which is very common in world economic policy at the present time. The events of recent months have posed new unpredictable challenges to the Russian economy: a likely technological lag behind advanced countries, a shortage of a number of critical imports, problems of international settlements. The authors of the report suggest that the scientific community get acquainted with the possibilities and prospects of countering the sanctions regime imposed by Western countries against the Russian Federation by expanding cooperation with the BRICS countries and, not least, with the tropical giant Brazil. The report examines various areas of cooperation between the two countries - from the nuclear industry to agriculture . The authors of the report put forward a number of proposals to expand this cooperation and consider arguments in favor of its effectiveness
