For a long time, such types of detectors as semiconductor detectors, Cherenkov detectors and SiPM detectors have been used as space radiation detectors. Devices which included such detectors have been successfully used in space conditions for various tasks. Currently, the development of the Combined Radiation Detector (KODIZ) is underway at M.V.Lomonosov Moscow State University, Skobeltsyn Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP MSU). It is designed to register dose rates of cosmic radiation, fluxes of high-energy nuclei, and neutron fluxes on microsatellites such as CubeSats. The instrument is expected to be used to detect the appearance of Solar Energetic Particles (SEP) fluxes, which may create an additional radiation load onboard aircrafts.
