Mobility (smart mobility) is one of the main characteristics of a Smart City. Understanding how residents actually move in the city is necessary for reliable provision of transport services, construction of new transport lines, etc. Correspondence matrices (they are also origin-destination matrices or OD matrices) are a compact and widely used means of describing movements (passenger flows). This article discusses the means and methods for analyzing correspondence matrices.
