We describe the Combined Potential Tsunami Model - CPTM [Nosov, Kolesov, 2019]. The model consists of two dynamically coupled modules: the deep water module and the shallow water module. The deep water module is based on a 3D linear wave equation with respect to the flow velocity potential for the homogenius compressible ocean. The equations of the deep water module are written in the curvilinear non-orthogonal depth-normalized sigma-spherical coordinate system. The shallow water module is based on the linear shallow water equations, also written in relation to the flow velocity potential. An important feature of the model is the dynamic input of the bottom displacement. The model is tested using an analytical solution to the problem of tsunami generation in the ocean of constant depth [Levin, Nosov, 2016]. As examples of the application of the model, the simulation of large tsunamis of the early 21st century is considered based on various types of information about the earthquake source, as well as numerical experiments devoted to the study of the generation mechanisms of the gravity waves excited in the ocean by seismic surface waves (FGSS waves) [Sementsov et al., 2019]. 1.
