The problem of global governance for the world community as a single whole appears to be more and more acute and topical. The author thinks it may soon become one of the central themes for contemporary global studies. From the position of holistic vision of the world the article distinguishes between such notions as ‘regulation’ and ‘governance’, analyses both theoretical issues of socionatural dynamics conditioned by multi-aspect globalization and various factors, conditions and principal possibilities of resolving the problem in question.
