Electromagnetic field was always interesting for scientists studying external physical factors influencing biological objects. In the last decades, effects of magnetic field on magnetic particles containing cells or different cell’s components attracted close attention in respect to the benefits giving both for different applications ( drug delivery, diagnostics, for example) and fundamental studies (structure – mechanisms of biological processes). In the work presented, effects of magneto-mechanical actuation of magnetic nanoparticles containing proteins (enzymes), biological membranes (liposomes, exosomes) or whole cells in low frequency magnetic fields have been discussed with their major challenges and offering opportunities.
