Theoretical approach to the jet-wing interaction noise is considered. Physical modelling of the jet-wing interaction noise consists mainly of two problem: the problem of the diffraction of the jet near field pulsations on the wing trailing edge, and the problem of the modelling of the jet near field itself. The current paper is focused on the development of the analytical method for jet-wing interaction description including flight effect. A model problem of jet-wing interaction is formulated in terms of scattering of the given perturbation field on the half-plane and solved by means of the Wiener-Hopf technique and 2D steepest descent method. The obtained solution is verified by means of the tailored Green’s function (in static conditions) and UTD approach (in static and flight conditions). Experimental data on jet-plate interaction noise are obtained for small-scale round jet. Preliminary modeling of the experimental data is performed by means of the Wiener-Hopf solution and simple Gaussian-type wave packets simulating low-frequency near field pulsations.
