The content and pattern of the accumulation of 15 individual PAHs in the surface soil horizons of the city of Gusinoozersk were determined. The background soils near Gusinoozersk are enriched in almost all the considered PAHs, their total amount is 2416 ng/g, high-molecular-weight 4-6 ringed compounds prevail. Located in the city fuel and energy industrial hub, consisting of Gusinoozerskaya TPP and the Zagustayskiy, Okino-Klyuchevskiy and Bain-Zukherskiy coal mines, changes the state of the urban environment increasing the average amount of PAHs in the soils of Gusinoozersk up to 9445 ng/g. The total PAH content in the soils of various land-use zones varies from 1800 ng/g in the postagrogenic zone to 28449 ng/g in the high-rise residential subzone. Highly nuclear fluoranthene (85% of the total PAHs) and benzo[b]fluoranthene (10%) make the greatest contribution to the pollution of urban soils with PAHs. Assessment of the environmental hazard of soil pollution with the PAHs takes into account their carcinogenic potential in relation to benzo[a]pyrene (BaP). The sum of BaP-equivalents for individual PAHs in urban soils varies from 7 ng/g in the postagrogenic zone to 291 in the high-rise residential subzone, which is almost 15 times higher than the MPC for BaP in soils.
