In the Old Russian language some masculine singular nouns in the locative case may add non-standard inflexion -y as well as standard flexion -ѣ. This is caused by the interference of the praslavic *ŏ- and *ŭ-paradigms. But the criteria of choosing the inflexion are more complex and the analysis of the texts from the 17 century may help to detect the most reliable of them.
