Open access, that for the scientific community became one of the most significant consequences of the new media, contributes to an ever-increasing manifestation of tendencies that are characteristic to other sectors of the media industry, in such specific segment as the academic publishing market. Now it is possible to talk about the formation of a new type of informational relations in the system of scientific communication which implicates a creation of equal conditions for the exchange of scientific content and a possibility to make use of it for all Internet users.
