The goal of our investigation is to find out the specific features of business interactions between Russian oil and gas sector and other sectors of Russian economy. For this reason, we analyze the production structure of the sector (and the major changes in it over the last 20 years) and its interactions with suppliers and buyers (domestic and international). Given the lack of up-to-date input-output data for Russian economy, the analysis was based on a large number of sources, including research and analytics, national statistics, tax and budget data, industry and company data.
