In the present paper, the modification of Ni/C nanostructures with d-metals oxides (NiO, CuO) has been studied by the XPS method. The change in the nearest environment of the nanostructure metal atoms (localization or hybridization) and the magnetic moment on the metal atoms have been determined by studying the spectra of the core levels Me3s, Me2p, C1s, O1s and the use of the model from [1, 2]. The ratio of the reagents (Ni/C nanostructures and nickel or copper oxide) has been varied from 0.5 up to 2. With the ratio growth from 0.5 to 1, the magnetic moment on the Ni atoms increases several times, i.e. at heating, in the redox process the form of the nanostructure changes and the interaction of the carbon skeleton and the metal grows. Thus, modified Me/C nanostructures can be used for obtaining magnetic materials with ultra high atomic magnetic moment. [1] N.V. Lomova, I.N. Shabanova. J. of Electr. Spectr. and Rel.
