Nowadays the supply of Above-Ground phytomass is one of the challenges in addressing to monitoring climate-induced changes. The main aim of the research project was to find the possibility of indicating the characteristics of reflectance of Above- Ground phytomass and distinguish the dependence on other parameters. The study samples were gathered during field works for the further analysis. The research work was focused on three sites of the Kola Peninsula with different vegetation types. Optical properties of all tundra landscapes in Kola Peninsula are diverse and were analyszed according to each vegetation type. During the analysis of spectral reflectance were calculated the parameters with the correlation between special reflectance with NDVI (Normalized difference vegetation index) and Average spectral reflectance value in the visible spectrum. The result shows the strong valued correlation between all types of lichens and NDVI and and Average spectral reflectance. The future goal of the research project is to improve the geathered samples of other vegetation types in order to discover the new parameters, which will allow to mapping the supply of Above- Ground phytomass for the whole vegetation types in Forest-Tundra Ecotone. This research work is a part of PPS Arctic- the IPY project which investigates current status and last changes in the circus-arctic tree line zone.
