Magnetorheological (MR) materials belong to the group of so-called smart materials whose rheological properties could be rapidly and reversibly altered with the applied magnetic field. These materials consist typically of micron-sized magnetic particles dispersed in a non-magnetic medium - a fluid, a gel or an elastomer. The MR materials demonstrate the unique properties and interesting effects which provide the excellent possibility to use them in various aspects of modern technology – the mechanical engineering, the construction of damper devices, vacuum seals and microactuators, the ink-jet printing, as well as the drug delivery, the new methods of medical diagnostics and treatment and even the creation of artificial muscles. So wide interest to the MR materials is motivated by their external electromagnetic field peculiar response. Moreover this response can be tuned by changing various structural parameters of the MR materials. The new results are presented.
