The use of carbon carriers as a basis for metal-supported Fischer-Tropsch synthesis catalysts (FTS) is considered. Using the example of artificial (Sibunit, carbon nanotubes) and natural (activated carbon, pyrolyzed glucose) carbon materials, the advantages of the used carriers in the synthesis of iron-supported catalysts are shown. In situ magnetometry has investigated topochemical reactions occurring both in the synthesis of catalysts and in the FTS reaction.
