Paper considers the dependence of different cryogenic processes activity in road embankments on the type of quasistationary thermal field (QSTF) found in there. We show the findings of predictive modeling on such processes like thermokarst, ground flow, frost heave, and frost cracking. We show that the type of QSTF affects significantly the process dynamics in road embankments. The findings of the paper may be applied to explaining road deformations under different climatic, geological, and geocryological conditions
